Tillamook
State Forest hunting expedition
I decided to
stay closer to home - er, work - for my most recent outing as A) I
love to Oregon Coast Range, and B) I'm now required to wear a damn
pager due to the heaping mound of new (and really strange I might add)
data the Cascade
Forest Research Center has been receiving. I think it's overkill, but Doc
Kelly writes the checks and he hasn't actually paged me once so for
now, I'll tolerate it. Didn't score this time out, though. And don't
even ask me what that growth looking this is - hell if I know. Kinda
remains me of what my pal Dewey is all juiced up about in his Forests
of Mystery web series.

Northern Cascades
hunting expedition
My first love is the Oregon Coast Range, but the Cascades come in at
an awfully close second. A couple of buddies and I headed up towards
Lost Lake near Mt. Hood and seriously roughed it for almost a week.
Yup, just us, the stars, a bonfire, and some beer. Came back empty
handed, but its all good. Excuse my man Chris for ruining one of my
shots.

La Grande hunting
expedition
I don't make it
out to Eastern Oregon very often - mostly because of the long hours I
put in at the Cascade Forest Research Center - but last summer I was
able to head into the open plains for some quail hunting with my bro.
My uncle has a little cabin we chilled in for a few days, and managed
to snag dinner in the form of wild game each night we were
there.
