Fishing in the Oregon Wilderness

Wilson River fishing adventure
The Wilson River is located in the Tillamook State Forest and loosely follows Highway 6 from the coast range to the Pacific Ocean. Since it's between this river and that highway that the Cascade Forest Research Center is located, going on a fishing day trip isn't that much of a stretch. So I'm out there doing my thing, and I notice that the school of trout I have my eye on look all warped or disfigured or something. And no I wasn't smoking anything and it wasn't the ripples. Very odd. Maybe Dewey is on to something with his little Forests of Mystery web series...

Little Luckiamute fishing adventure
For those that don't know, the Little Luckiamute river runs through Falls City, Oregon - a very cool small town north of Salem and sometimes hard to get to. A cool little fishing hole, though - and even a little market to stock up on beef jerky and beer. My kind of town, for sure.
